Obituary for First Lady Bertha Gladys Quillens-Winslow

On April 28, 1926, God gave us Bertha Gladys Quillens- a gift that keeps on giving. Born to the late Pastor Belford H. Quillens and Pearlier Donalds, On August 12, 2014 Bertha G. Q. Winslow was given back to her heavenly father. Beloved wife of the late Rev. Charles B. Winslow, Jr. Cherished mother of the late Charles B. Winslow, III, and Noel Joseph Winslow. She leaves to mourn her daughter, Noella Winslow-Jefferson (Marquis); grandchildren, Ebony McCullum and Charles B. Winslow IV (Koshira); sister, Lorena Quillens Brown; daughter-in-law, Dianna Winslow and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the 1st District Association and Minister's wives, Pentecost Baptist Church, Asia Baptist Church, Nazarene Baptist Church and Caffin Avenue SDA Church are all invited to Celebrate her legacy on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Pentecost Baptist Church, 1510 Harrison Ave., NOLA for 10:00 am, Pastor Lionel Davis, officiating. Interment: Restlawn in Avondale, LA. Visitation begins at 8:00 am in the church.
