Obituary for Annie Kennedy

Annie "Kudah" Kennedy age 91 entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 4, 2017 surrounded by family. Wife of the late Curtis Kennedy Sr.; daughter of the late Pauline Ruffin-Hicks. Loving mother of Lorraine H. England and Louvettra K. Simmons of Avondale, Olivia Kennedy, Shirley K. Coleman (Ronnie), Harriet K. Matthews, Louella K. Winston (Lionel), Calvin Kennedy (Patricia), Curtis Kennedy Jr of Thibodaux, LA, Robert Kennedy (Cheryl) of Lake Providence, LA and the late Andrew Johnson. Also survived by adopted daughters Hiwan Payne and Stella Ratcliff; goddaughters Latasha Kennedy, Lillie Mae Shelby and Brenetta Firven. Two brothers Elliott Green (Desiree) of St. Rose, LA and Phillip Green(Carrie)of Avondale, LA, three sisters Olivia Joshua and Ruth Veal of New Orleans and Rosemary Sorrell of Lemonville, LA, 53 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren, devoted friend Rose Smith and a host of nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends of the family; Pastors, Officers and members of Bountiful Harvest Full Gospel Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; Staff and employees of Heart of Hospice, the office of Dr. Shaunda P. Jones, Jefferson Parish School System, Dept. of Children and Family Services, Orleans Parish Assessors Office, Bubba's Produce and Ram tools are all invited to attend the service. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 433 Avondale Garden Road, Avondale, LA on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM, Rev. Damian Brown officiating. Interment: Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, 10867 River Road, Ama, LA. Viewing will begin at 10:00 AM.
