Obituary for Alyne Quinn

Alyne J. Quinn, Age 86, born January 25, 1930 in Tylertown, MS departed this earth for her heavenly home on Sunday, August 28 2016 at 3:55 PM. Mrs. Quinn was employed as an Operating Room Surgical Technician and retired from Charity Hospital after 27 years of service. Following Hurricane Katrina, she and her husband relocated to Picayune, MS where they attended Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church, Pastored by Rev. Delbert Hall. In 2013 she moved back to New Orleans where she attended First Grace United Methodist Church, previously Grace United Methodist Church, where she was a member for more than 65 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Quinn; parents, Eulas James, Sr. and Mahalia Badon James; daughter, Clarice Quinn; grandson, Matthew Stewart and 16 siblings.
She leaves a beautiful legacy in her loving and devoted children, Maxine Henry (the late Eugene), Jacquelyn Shields (Major), Sheila Stewart (Malcolm) and Wayne Quinn (Carolyn); sister, Ollie Hargrove , 7 sisters in law, 3 brothers in law, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends; Pastor, Officers and Members of First Grace United Methodist, Franklin Avenue and Pilgrim Bound Baptist Churches are invited to attend the funeral.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at First Grace United Methodist Church, 3401 Canal Street, on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 11 AM.
Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery
Visitation 10 AM IN THE CHURCH.
