Hayden Axel Umbenhower was tragically and unexpectedly taken from us just 3 months shy of his 2nd birthday on April 29, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Hayden lived with his mother, Julienne Leda Frederico in Barataria, LA. He was born July 19, 2014 at 6:05 pm in Lebanon, PA, but relocated with his Mom in 2015. To know Hayden, was to know an amazing child. Whether playing peek-a-boo, helping with sweeping and trash hauling or playing with his tool toys, he was always smiling and his smile was contagious. Though his life was shortened by tragedy, the lives he touched far outnumber his short years on this Earth. In death, he saved the lives of 4 other children through organ donations. He saved their families from the heartbreak of his own family. In this way, he will live on through others. Hayden is preceded in death by his aunt, Jet Kohl Nichols and great-great grandmother, Pearl Tyson. He is survived by his mother, Julienne Leda Frederico of Barataria, maternal grandparents, Bond Julienne Ruggles, Christopher Edward Nichols and Charles W. Frederico; paternal grandparents, Larry, Jr. and Pamela Umbenhower; maternal great grandparents, Larry E. and Patricia Sweigard; paternal great grandparents, Bobby and Patti Rodenhaber; his dog “Gigi” Maggie and his cat “Ah-A” Nibbler and a host of great aunts, uncles and family friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Charbonnet-Labat-Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip St., NOLA for 2:00 pm. A Second Line will follow the service.
