Marsha Williams Register, a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter and sister entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 26, 2018. She graduated from George Washington Carver Senior High School (class of '67) and attended Southern University. At the time of her passing, Marsha had returned to her childhood home of New Orleans after a thirty year stint in Bakersfield, California, where she had relocated because of her employment. Marsha was a dedicated member of First United Methodist Church and Bethany United Methodist Church respectively. Marsha was meticulous in all aspects of her life, as demonstrated in her impeccable style and in her exquisitely decorated home; which garnered the respect of many. Marsha leaves to cherish her memory her loving children Renee (Vernell) Leavings, and Earl Register, Jr., her mother, Doris C. Williams, her siblings, Eddie, Jr., (Exavier) Williams, Naomi (Gerald~deceased) Smith, and Frederick (Fannie) Williams. She also is survived by her devoted grandchildren, Raven (James) Thurman, and Jayde Fairley and beloved great granddaughters, Destiny and Madison Thurman, her former husband, Earl Register, Sr., and a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Eddie Dave Williams, Sr. Family and friends are invited to the Celebration of Life honoring Ms. Marsha W. Register, on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Bethany United Methodist Church, 4533 Mendez Street, New Orleans, LA 70126, at 10:00 A.M. Visitation begins at 8:00 A.M. Interment, Mount Olivet Cemetery, 4000 Norman Mayer Ave., New Orleans, LA, 70122.
