Emelda "Grandma Mell" Lewis-Frank entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the age of 86. She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved children six daughters Antoinette Lewis, Belinda Lewis-Robertson (William), Arthemise Lewis-Matthew (Eric), Sue Lewis-Press (Darryl), Blanche Rollands-Noiel (Alton) and Louise Frank. Six sons Palmas Frank, Jr. (Michelle), Gus (Joy), Kent, Lee (Sabrina), Dwight and Jerome Lewis. Twenty-nine grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Wheeler and Blanche Henry, siblings Harry, Lawrence, Edmond, Jules, Blanche, Leonard and Dorothy. One niece Rachael Thomas-Cotton, one grandson Manuel G. Lewis, two great- great grandchildren Kaya and Khi'Jah Lewis and one grandson-in-law Toriano Livas, Sr. Survived by host of other relatives and beloved friends. Relatives, friends, employees of McDonogh #35, United States Department of Agricultural, University Medical Center, United States Postal Services, Glazer, Dura Med Medical, Metropolitan Human Services District, Aaron's Furniture Company (Tacoma, Washington), Orleans Parish School Board, Le Maria Hotel, and all Social Aid Pleasure Clubs are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Historic Carver Theater 2101 Orleans Ave., New Orleans, LA. Visitation begins at 9:00 AM. Dr. Charles Daniels will officiate. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans, LA
