Obituary for Leon Aaron Paloade Sr.

Master Sergeant Leon Aaron Paloade Sr., age 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2018, in Stone Mountain, GA surrounded by his family. Msgt Paloade was born September 29, 1939 in New Orleans, LA to the late Derrix Joseph Paloade and Inez Bennett Paloade. He attended Booker T. Washington High School and Delgado Community College, both in New Orleans. Leon was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Air Force, and later retired from over 30 years of service with the Louisiana Air National Guard's 159th Fighter Wing in Belle Chasse, LA. He lived in New Orleans until 2005, when his family relocated to the Atlanta, GA area because of Hurricane Katrina. Survivors include his loving devoted wife of 50 years, Anna Houston Paloade, his children, Patrice Paloade Boyd (Lawrence Sr., Leon Aaron Paloade Jr., ((Vondria), Derix Julius Paloade Sr., (Angel), and Kellea Anne Paloade (Brian); his brother Frederick Paloade (Chelsea), sister, Gwendolyn Colvon (Melvin); his grandchildrenAshleigh, Bailea, Derix Jr., Lawrence Jr., and Patric and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. A Celebration of Leon's Life will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 10:00 AM, At Fairview Missionary Baptist Church, 2000 Andry Street, New Orleans, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Officiant; Rev. C.E. Washington. Interment will take place on Monday, July 30, 2018 at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Dr, Slidell, LA 70460 at 10:00 AM.
