Obituary for Leola G Newton (George)

Leola George Newton, age 71 entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Leola was a proud graduate of G. W. Carver, Sr. High School "Class of "66", and retired from the Medical Center of Louisiana formerly Charity Hospital in 2005. Daughter of the late Emile and Blance George. Beloved mother of Tiffanie and Edward (Charlene) Newton. One sister Gracie Hatcher of Williams, AZ, 4 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 10:00 AM, Gentilly Baptist Church 5141 Franklin Ave, New Orleans, 70122. Visitation begins at 9:00 AM. Pastor Eden Blance will officiate. Interment Resthaven Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
