Kenneth "Kendu" Martin entered peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the age of 67 in Tulsa, OK. He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved mother Nellie Mae Martin. His children Kenneth M. Martin, Thais Martin and Mia Young (Lee). Grandchildren Jordan Parker, Kenneth J. Martin, Kendric Martin, Laila Young and Kennedi Wright. Siblings Joseph R. Martin, III (Andre), Vivian Montrel, Wanda Elum (Reginald) and Keith Martin (Denisha). A devoted companion Jama Ridgely. Preceded in death by his father Joseph R. Martin, Jr., one brother Phillip Martin, brother-in-law Alvin Montrel, Sr. and former companion Nedra Varnum. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Christian Burial Mass on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church , 1923 St. Philip St. New Orleans, LA. Visitation begins at 9:00 AM. Father Asare-Dankwah will officiate. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
