George Willie Curtis, age 69, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather departed us to be in the arms of the Lord on September 25, 2018. He was born on August 14, 1949 in Mobile, AL to the late George Washington Curtis and the late Ida Mae Partee. He is preceded in death by his brother Dewitt Partee. George leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 47 years Linda, daughters Davida August of Richmond, TX and Adrian Pruiett (Curtis) of Rosenberg, TX, one son George Brian of New Orleans. He is also survived by four grandsons, Brandon Brewton, Joshua August, Donte' Curtis, and Justin August; his stepmother Inez Curtis; seven sisters Joyce Brown (Harold), Youlanda Curtis, Gloria Blackmon (Stanley), Daetra Adams, Geraldine Mitchell, Carmen Caldwell (Marvin), and Raphaella Archie; four brothers Bennie Partee (Tracy), Ronald Partee (Cindy), Dennis Partee (Carolyn), and Anthony Partee (Annie); goddaughters Kyleigh Andrews and Jennifer Bryant; dedicated sister-in-law Alberta Bryant (Donnice); brothers-in-law Larry (Beverly-deceased) and Vanderbilt Jones; sisters-in-law Katie Partee, Harriet White, Hazel Tribbet; loving cousins Thelma Cole and Dolores White; devout friends Raymond Bowie and John Demery, as well as, a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life service on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Cornerstone United Methodist Church, 5276 Bullard Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70128 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Rev. Karli Pidgeon, Officiant. Internment will take place on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell, LA.
