Rosie M.T. Bonner born on October 5, 1936. Rosie entered Eternal rest on Sunday, November 4, 2018. A lifelong resident of New Orleans Rosie worked at Carver Middle and High Schools. Her last employment was with the New Orleans Recreation Department (NORD) supervising Rosenwald Center. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; her maternal grandparents Harry Catherin and Annie Peyton Catherin; her father Samuel Thornton, her mother Annie C. Thornton; her daughter Michelle Davis Robertson; her grandsons Criston and Triston Ducros and Michael Davis; her great-grandson Caiden Welch, and the only brother she knew Edward Ford (cousin). A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by four children: Jerome Davis (Gabrielle); Carl Lee Davis Jr. (Deirdra); Madalene Davis; and Aletta Davis-Clinton (Tyrell); 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and a host of family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Charbonnet Funeral Home 9200 I-10 Service Rd., New Orleans, LA 70127. Visitation begins at 9:00 AM. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
