Obituary for Gwendolyn "Gwenny" Jerman (Gullette)

Gwendolyn Gullette- Jerman, affectionately known as (Gwenny), a lifelong resident of both New Orleans, LA and Hempstead, NY was known for being a hardworking, selfless, and compassionate woman who always looked forward to helping anyone at any time. Gwendolyn was a 1961 graduate of Carver Senior High School, NOLA and subsequently graduated and received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Adelpha University, Garden City NY (1985). Sadly she passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018, surrounded by family members. Words simply cannot expressed how much she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Gwendolyn was born, December 8, 1943, to the late Delores and Richard Gullette Jr. She is survived by three children, Reginald Jerman (Korine) of NY, Kevin Jerman (Marsha) of NJ, and Steven Jerman of FL; three grandchildren, Amber and Tiana Jerman of NY and Jasmine Burke of FL; two great-grandchildren, Ivann and Demetrius Jerman of NY; seven sisters, Cynthia Banks, Diana Crutchfield, Gloria Garrison, Sandra Thomas, Patricia Cook, Shelia Gullette, and Yolanda Smith (John); two brothers, Reginald Gullette Sr. and Jaleel Gullette and a host of other relatives and friends. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Lloyd Jerman; brother, Richard Gullette III and sister, Shelita Gullette-Corley. Relatives, friends, and affiliated churches are invited to attend the home- going celebration at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 26, 2018, at Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Phillip St. New Orleans, La. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Special thanks to Dr. Stacy Siegendorf, Ochsner Hospital and Home Health Agency and Good Samaritan Nursing Home. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, La.
