Willie "T Jack" Travis transitioned peacefully from earth to glory on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the age of 98. Willie was bon on February 4, 1920 to the late Cortell and Ora Mingo Travis. He was employed by Amour Meat Packing Co. and later worked as a longshoreman for over 50 years. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Freddie H. Dunn, Sr. Willie is survived by one daughter Ida M. Baudy, a devoted great-nephew Willie James (Patricia), tow grandchildren Waddell Mulmore (Debra), Nolita Theard (Kenneth). Four siblings Daisy Travis Neal, Rita Travis Whitney, Reberta Travis Jacobs and Maize Travis Jacobs. A host of other relatives and friends. Relatives, friends, members of New Hope Baptist Church, Greater Little Rock Baptist Church, New Macedonia Baptist and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11:00 AM at New Hope Baptist Church , 1807 Rev. John Raphael, Jr. Way, New Orleans, La 70113. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM. Pastor Jamaal Weathersby, officiating.
