Rockel Etienne, MHR, EdD entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at the age of 49. She leaves to cherish her memory parents Barbara Washington Manuel and Lucian Manuel Sr.; her parents away from home the late Calvin and Marg Washington (Tulsa, OK); brothers Kennedy B. Washington, James Taylor Jr., D'Juan Manuel (Roniece), Terry Vonhall (Heather); sisters Jacqueline Etienne Brock (Michael), Roxane Etienne Johnson, Tiffany Wagner, Sheena Wagner (Kaisha), Elon Vonhall, Gloria Barthelemy and Daisy Taylor. Rockel is also survived by her aunts and uncles: Janis Washington Brock, the late Lois Aisola (Larry); Ferdinand, Lloyd (Florelle), Jimmy (Carolyn), Norma, Janie and the late Barry Espadron, Harriet Shavers (Ernie), Justine Mason (Johnny) Gussie Jr, Danny, Christopher, Loretta, Juanita, Jessie Washington (Nettie), Sylvia Steward (Lewis), Gustavia Taylor (Shelly), D'Juana Jackson (Michael); twenty-five nieces and nephews; 18 great nieces and nephews and a host of other loving family and friends. She is preceded in death by brother Lucian Manuel Jr., sisters Kimmy Manuel and Jonell Vonhall; godparents James and Alma Taylor; grandparents Harry and Elme Espadron, grandparents Gussie and Mildred Washington. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service honoring Rockel Etienne MHR, EdD, at Christian Fellowship Family Worship Center, 5816 E Judge Perez Drive, Violet, LA 70092, on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at 11:00 A.M.
