My most sincere condolences are extended to Jason and family. I did not know your loved one but I know of the love that you shared for each other as a family through Jason’s devotion and love for family. It’s always difficult as well as challenging to accept and grieve the loss of a loved one but remember that although you loved Joycelyn, God loved her more. He plucked the most fragrant, nurturing and beautiful blossom to place in His Heavenly garden. God said it was time to come home to share her warmth and love with those that had come before her. Think about those joyful and memorable moments of personal and group times to cherish and dwell in your heart. I know from experience that it is difficult but each day that you trust God makes it easier to bear; yet there will be days that it seems as if it just occurred. Cast all your cares on The One who created Heaven and Earth; the One who specially designed Joycelyn and all of you and realize that He can do everything but fail. My thoughts, love, and concern are with you as a family. You may weep for the moment but joy will arrive in the morning!

HI to Marcus, Sr. and the Ogle Family.
I have fond memories of my friendship with Joycelyn and Marcus, Sr. of our early lives. She was truly a good person and a good friend, as was her Mom. I knew Marcus, Sr. through his family and my family's related connections. Marcus was also a friend to my husband, Sheridon, as teenager. When Joycelyn and Marcus became engaged, it was truly a celebration for both of us. Through the years, it became known that his Godmother, Mrs. Julia Breaud was also a close friend to my mother, Mrs. Clotilde Rapp.
Although we have become distant since Hurricane Katrina, I still have fond memories.
I am deeply saddened to learn of Joycelyn's passing but happy to know that she is truly in a better place, for this world is not our home.
