The third of nine children, Kathleen was a lifelong resident of the 7thWard in New Orleans. She attended Corpus Christi Elementary School and graduated from St. Mary's Academy. She was a loyal employee of Pan American Life and worked there her entire professional career before retiring. She had a creative spirit and had a genuine talent for cooking delicious, old-fashioned Creole food. She participated in many social clubs and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Kathleen's kind and loving nature inspired many to call upon her to be Godmother to their children. Affectionately referred to as "Nanny," she was a Godmother to numerous kids and took the role very seriously. She had a lot of love to give not only to her Godchildren but to all children in her family and those of her close friends. Over the course of her life, she welcomed many family, friends of family and friends of friends of family into her home. They all enjoyed her company and hospitality. Her compassionate and no nonsense advice earned her great respect and a reputation for being a true friend and confidant. She was extremely generous with her time and her talent helping others in their time of need. She worked very hard to ensure that every holiday, birthday and graduation was as special as possible for everyone that she loved. Kathleen was the cornerstone of our family and will be dearly missed. Due to COVID-19, funeral services will be private and limited to immediate family. Everyone in attendance is required to adhere to all restrictions. You must wear a face mask and practice social distancing. Strictly enforced.
