Reuben Steve "Doodie" Bryant, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 28, 2020. He leaves to cherish precious memories, his sons, Reuben Steve Bryant, Jr., Reudy Paul Hooper, and Reubey Lloyd Bryant;, father, Paul J. Lindsey; mother, Shelia M. Bryant; sisters, Octavia Bickham, Paulette, Paula and Paulinia Bryant; brothers, Paul Pelts, Lloyd and Paul Curry, George Bryant, and Michael Anderson, Jr. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and the whole Iberville Housing Development. Reuben was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marie Crawford-Lindsey, George Dewey Lindsey, Eunice Thompkins and Louis Bryant, Sr; brothers, Adonis Thompkins and Mikivon Anderson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service. A drive-through viewing will be held at Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Friday , January 8, 2021 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Please remain in your vehicles. A funeral service honoring the life of Reuben Steve "Doodie" Bryant, Sr. will be held in the Chapel of Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 2 p.m. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone in attendance is required to adhere to all restrictions. You must wear a face mask and practice social distancing. Gatherings are limited (No exceptions). Strictly enforced. Interment private. Visitation 1 p.m. in the chapel.
