Andre Leroy Morgan, Sr., age 62, was born on September 22, 1958 in New Orleans, LA to the late Lester, Sr. and Clementine Zarders Morgan. He passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at his home in New Orleans, LA. A retired business owner of Morgan & Morgan Associates, Andre attended Francis T. Nichols High School and Southern University of New Orleans, receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration/Finance and Mathematics. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church & International Shrine of St. Jude. Andre had a passion for being involved with his community as he served on multiple boards and organizations, such as Big Brother, Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club and altar service at his beloved church, St. Jude. He loved sports such as football, golf and baseball and was an avid Saints fan and faithfully watched every Saints game. In addition to his parents, Andre was also preceded in death by Clementine and Louis J. Zarders Sr., Etta Campbell, Delores and Charlie Davis, and Ronnie Davis. He is survived by his wife of forty years, Janice Davis Morgan; brother, Lester Morgan, Jr. (Sheila Morgan); sister, Linda Morgan Lewis (Albert Lewis, Sr.); two brothers-in-law, Anthony Davis and Nathaniel Davis; three children, Jaime D. Morgan Elsey (Derek E. Elsey), Andre L. Morgan, Jr. and Kerry J. Morgan; one grandchild, Genesis N. Elsey; one step-grandchild, Dior D. Elsey; nieces and nephews,Tonya Morgan Anderson, Albert Lewis, Jr. and Lester Morgan III, along with a host of extended family and friends. A Mass of Christian burial honoring the life of Mr. Andre Leroy Morgan, Sr. will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and International Shrine of St. Jude, 411 N. Rampart Street, New Orleans, LA on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 11 am, Father Tony Rigoli, OMI, Celebrant. Interment Private. Visitation 9 am in the church.
