Obituary for Bernadette Tyler

Bernadette Marie Tyler entered into this life on July 3rd 1962 to the union of Leola Emelda Tyler and Joe Tyler, Sr. She was an attendee of Walter L. Cohen Sr. High School. She gained achievement in Culinary Arts that afforded her the opportunity to enter the Service Industry as a Caterer. She later decided that she enjoyed Construction more. Bernadette (Bunny) was baptized at an early age and realizing her need to build a closer relationship with God, she became a member of New Hope Baptist Church in June 2011. She enjoyed spending time with her Grandchildren, watching the Saints game, and enjoying great New Orleans Cuisine. She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters; Shermaine Marie Tyler, Krystal L'Oriel Tyler-James, and Christine Michelle Tyler-Roy, four sons; Terrance Andrew Tyler, Craig Eugene Tyler-James, Raymond Joe Tyler-James, and Sidney Bernard Tyler. three brothers; Joe Tyler, Jr. of Denver, Colorado, Major James Tyler (Elaine) and Ronnie Leon Tyler (Paulette), One sister Julie Tyler Newman-Johnson (Conrad), ten grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and close friends. Bernadette was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents, her first born child, Thomas Anthony Tyler, and a nephew Ronnie Leon Williams. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service honoring the life of Bernadette Tyler in the Chapel of Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 10 AM. Interment: Mt. Olivet, New Orleans, LA. Visitation: 9 AM in the chapel.
