Miles D. Spann aka "Pastor Spann", entered eternal rest on Monday, February 22, 2021. He was born on May 27, 1963 in New Orleans, LA to the late Wilfred Spann and Thelma Jack Spann Stanfield. Beloved husband of Cheryl Caines Spann. Father of Tameika Caines and Mia Spann. Grandfather of Taylor and T'Yanna Freeman, Noah and Jayden Vega. Godfather of Viola Pinkston. "Pastor Spann" was a graduate of Holy Cross, attended Loyola University and Union Baptist Theological Seminary. He was employed by the City of New Orleans as a City Inspector. Relatives and friends; Pastor, officers and members of Ray Avenue Baptist Church; employees of the City of New Orleans are invited to attend the funeral. A Celebration Service honoring the life of Miles D. Spann "Pastor Spann" will be held at Ray Avenue Baptist Church, 4712 Ray Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70126 on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 11 am, Reverend Robert Brown, Pastor, Bishop Tommie L. Triplett, Jr., officiating. Visitation 9 am in the church.
