Elouise "Ella, Lala" Cager Richardson peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 15, 2021. She was the first born child of the late Mitchell, Sr. and Marion Prentiss Cager. Mrs. Richardson was a retired teacher for the Orleans Parish School System. She is survived by her daughter, Germaine Renee Richardson; adopted daughter, Dr. Brandy Mouton; one brother, Mitchell Cager, Jr; one sister, Carolyn Cager Jones; four adopted grandchildren, devoted niece, Frenika Jones Cooks; devoted nephew, Freddie Jones, Jr; two sisters-in-law, Paulette Q. Cager and Eleanor Y. Richardson. Also survived by a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Richardson was also preceded in death by her husband, Wise Joseph Richardson; two sisters, Barbara Cager Forbs and Betty Jean Cager; five brothers, Clifford, Gary, Darrell, Sr., Dennis and Paul Cager. Relatives and friends of the family; Pastor, officers and members of Branch Bell Baptist Church; employees of Ochsner Health HIM Department; faculty and staff of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School are invited to attend the funeral. A Celebration of Life Service honoring Mrs. Elouise Cager Richardson will be held at Branch Bell Baptist Church, 1231 St. Maurice Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 10 AM, Elder Kevin L. Williams, Sr., Pastor, Officiating. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery and Mausoleum. Visitation 9 AM in the church.
