Audrey Stewart, a lifelong resident of Bridge City, LA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at the age of 85. Audrey was born on April 2, 1935 to the union of the late Sullivan, Sr. and Victoria Stewart. She professed her faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized by the late Reverend Paul Jones. Audrey leaves to cherish her memory a beloved daughter, Sharron Borne; devoted nephew/son, Howard Jones; thirteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Norma Price, Rosemary Martin, Iris Boudoin and Eugenia Rogers, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Audrey was also preceded in death by her son, Albert Williams; siblings, Victoria Howard, Virginia Stewart, Winnie Carey, Richard, Sr., Charles, Sullivan, Jr., James, and Joseph Stewart. Audrey was a hard-working woman and a true giver all her life. She loved her plants and spending time outside gardening. She was a "Ma" to many and always kept us entertained. We will miss her dearly and cherish the laughter and memories forever. Rest in peace Ma! A funeral service honoring the life of Audrey Stewart will be held at New Zion Christian Family Worship Center, 5040 Taravella Road, Marrero, LA 70072 on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 10 AM, Kim Castro, Officiating. Interment Private. Visitation 8 AM in the church.
