Shirley P. Walker gained her eternal wings on Friday, April 23, 2021 at the age of 90. She was born on July 14, 1930 to the now late Albert and Marguerite Picou. Shirley was joined in Holy Matrimony to the now late Henry John Walker on December 29, 1948 and to this union three children were born, Teresita (Ronald) Decuir, John (Carol) Walker and Tracey (Lionel) Dupart. In addition to her children, Shirley also leaves to cherish precious memories, two brothers, Albert (Marie) Picou and Donald (Eloise) Picou; seven grandchildren, Shelita DeCuir, Sherell DeCuir, Arianne Dupart, Jarred Dupart, Brian Walker, Michelle Walker and Matthew Walker; four great-grandchildren, Terrance DeCuir, Tyler McFarland, Kaelynn Worley and Raven DeCuir; special friend, Classie Winfield, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the home going celebration. A Mass of Christian burial honoring the Life of Mrs. Shirley P. Walker will be held at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 7300 Crowder Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70126 on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 11 AM. Interment Private. Visitation 10 AM in the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to charities of your choice.
