Lavon Anthony Hamilton, Jr. departed his earthly home suddenly on Saturday, April, 10, 2021 in Sunnyside, New York at the age of 39. Anthony was born in Erie, Pennsylvania to Gail A. Green and Lavon Hamilton, Sr. on April 30, 1982. He moved to New Orleans, LA at the age of 12. Anthony was a 1999 graduate of Alcee Fortier High School. He completed his degree in Business Management from The University of New Orleans in 2005. After Hurricane Katrina, Anthony relocated to Atlanta, GA until 2010 where he made the big move to his dream home state of New York. "Amp" as he was so passionately called by his family and close friends, leaves to cherish precious memories, his mother, Gail A. Green; children, Kaleb and Kennedy Hamilton, Kylen Lampton and Cameron Mitchell; sisters, Chiara Hamilton, Anika and Shanell Green; brother, Earl Green, III; companion of 16 years, Angelle Walker, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Earl Green, Jr. and his maternal grandparents, John and Elvada Arrington. A Celebration Service honoring the life of Mr. Lavon Anthony Hamilton, Jr. will be held at First Emanuel Baptist Church, 1829 Carondelet Street, New Orleans, LA on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 11 am, Rev. Dr. Charles J. Southall, III, Pastor, Officiating. Interment Restlawn Cemetery, Avondale, LA. Visitation 9 am in the Church.
