Mrs. Elsie Poree departed this earth on Thursday, May 7, 2021 at the age of 95. She was born in New Orleans, LA to her beloved parents, the late Jesse and Thelma. She leaves to cherish precious memories, two children and two siblings, as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, God children, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Poree was also preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert; siblings, Harry, Rudolph,Vernon and Germaine; one daughter, Glenda; one son, Anthony, Sr.; and one grandson, Anthony Jr. A Celebration of Life honoring Mrs. Elsie Poree will be held in the Chapel of Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip St. New Orleans, LA 70116 on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 12 noon. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery, 4000 Norman Mayer Ave., New Orleans, LA. Visitation 11 am in the Chapel. Everyone in attendance is asked to wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
