On Tuesday, June 8, 2021, Maxine Duplessie Tucker Antee passed away peacefully in her residence at the golden age of 87. She was born and raised in New Orleans, LA on December 3, 1933 to the late Earl and Christina Hunt Duplessie. Wife of the late Donald Antee. Maxine attended St. Mary's Academy and devoted her life to spoiling her husband, parents, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a parishioner of St. Raymond/St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. In addition to her husband and parents, Maxine was also preceded in death by her sister, Bernadette Hurel; son, Peter Tucker; brothers, Conrad and Colan Duplessie and brother-in-law, Errol Tucker. She is survived by her sister, Myrna Tucker (Errol) and sister-in-law, Jeannine (Conrad) Duplessie; two loving daughters from her first marriage to A.J. "Pete" Tucker, Shennan Boguille and Shelley Suane (Leo); four grandchildren, Rachel Sam (Quinton), Roscoe Boguille (Shuvaughn), Megan Suane (Paul) and Leo Suane, III; two great-granddaughters, Ravyn Boguille and Sophia Sam. Also survived by a host of other family members, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian burial honoring the life of the late Maxine Duplessie Tucker Antee will be held at St. Raymond/St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2916 Paris Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70119 on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 1 PM. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation 12 Noon in the church.
