Andrew "Pee Wee" Harris, Jr., a 30 year retiree of Charity Hospital, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew, Sr. and Alma St. Cyr Harris; wife, Iris Russell; son, James Caire, III and grandson, Donald Caire. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his passing include his children, Jacqueline Muse (Henry), Cherylyn Caire, Chanel, Derek, and Dwyane Russell; siblings, William (Viola), Victor (Christine), Bryant and Gail Harris (Elizabeth), Emelda Boutte, Catherine Lee (George), Patricia Gibson (Trent) and Sherry Jones (Gary); grandchildren, James Caire, IV (Nishe), Gregory Johnson, Jacquekeia Fleury (Zenophon), Juantrell Muse, Jamirra Muse, Shirell Morgan (Shawn), Chaneva Harris, Dionta and Deyonka Hill; nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pastor, officers and members of True Vine Baptist Church, employees of Whole Foods, City of New Orleans Police Department, UMC and neighboring hospitals, patrons of Pinky's Bar, members of FiYiYi The Mandingo Warriors and Tambourine & Fan Club are invited to attend the funeral. A Celebration of Life Service honoring the late Mr. Andrew "Pee Wee" Harris, Jr. will be held at True Vine Baptist Church, 2008 Marigny Street, New Orleans, LA, 70117 on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 10 am. Interment Providence Memorial Park, 8200 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70003. Visitation 9 am in the church.
