On Wednesday, June 9, 2021, Audrey Mae Lewis entered eternal rest at the age of 89. She was born and raised in New Orleans, LA on March 9,1932 to late Hazel Robertson and Joseph Dastugue. In addition to her parents Audrey was also preceded in death by her daughter Mara L. Kimble. Loving mother of Elliot and Hazel Lewis, and Karen Washington. Grandmother of Walter (Tomica) Kimble, Wayne (Shante) Kimble, Harvey (Tyeisha) Wells, Jerome Leonard, Myron Encalade and Blake Moliere; twelve great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren. Long time friend Delores Henderson. Also survived by a host of other family members, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A Mass of Christian burial honoring the life of the late Audrey Mae Lewis will be held at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1923 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 10 AM. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation 9 AM in the church. Everyone in attendance is asked to wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
