Geraldine Elizabeth Wilson Bishop was born in New Orleans, LA on March 8, 1927 to the late Morris Robert Wilson and Florence Neblett. Geraldine passed away peacefully on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Notre Dame Hospice/Lafon Nursing Home. In addition to her parents, Geraldine is preceded in death by her siblings, Morris Joseph Wilson, Sr., Edward Alfred, Earl Raymond, Bro. Damian Wilson S.S.J., Flora Lawrence and Cecile Chambers. Geraldine leaves behind two sisters, Beverly Banks, wife of the late Tommy Banks and Elaine Castello, wife of the late Freddie Castello, Jr. Also survived by sister-in-law, Melva Wilson, wife of the late Earl Raymond Wilson, Sr., along with cherished cousins, Dorothy Decuir, Edwin Butler, Annastine Duncan, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Our family is so grateful and appreciative of the compassion and love shown to our sister, Geraldine by the doctors and nurses at Ochsner Hospital Jefferson, Lafon Nursing Home and Notre Dame Hospice. Know that you all are invited to attend the funeral. A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of the late Geraldine Elizabeth Wilson Bishop will be held at Corpus Christi / Epiphany Catholic Church, 2022 St. Bernard Avenue, New Orleans, LA. 70116 on Saturday June 19, 2021 at 10 a.m. Interment: Private. Visitation 9 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Corpus Christi / Epiphany Catholic Church in Geraldine's name.
