Joyce "Doris" Terro was born on September 23, 1961 and transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the age of 59. Doris accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at First Community Antioch Baptist Church. She was raised in Paulina, LA and educated in the St. James Parish School System where she graduated from Lutcher High School. She later moved to New Orleans, LA where she found her love for the second line music and dance culture. Daughter of the late Reverend Felix and Martha Russell and Leona Nailer. Devoted mother of Christal, Chris and Chrishone Terro and Chastidy (Chason) Martin. Grandmother of Alaijah Hill, Xen Tate, Chris, Jr., Christian and Codi Terro and Treasure Martin. Doris will be cherished and missed by many. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. A Celebration Service honoring the life of the late Joyce "Doris" Terro will be held in the Chapel of Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 11 AM.
