The family lived in the seventh ward of New Orleans with Audrey supporting the family as a homemaker, mother and wife. Audrey was extremely family oriented and had a close relationship with her sisters. They never passed up an occasion to gather as a family. Audrey, better known as "Mama Audrey" was a great cook and baker. She was highly intelligent when it came to problem solving and was razor-sharp when it came to current events and politics. Mama Audrey was a day care giver to all her grandchildren until they were four years old. The time, energy and love she put into her children and grandchildren will always be remembered by her family. In addition to her husband and sons, Audrey was also preceded in death by her four sisters, Bernadine Demery, Anna Mae Santa Cruz, Dorothy Guter and Clementine Cager. Survivors include two sisters, Helen Firmin and Genevieve Garnett; daughters, Sandra F. Robinson, Glenda F. Kennedy and Nanette F. Francis, as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in laws, other relatives and friends.
