Shirley Brown Gilbert, age 66 of Kenner, LA departed her earthly life on Saturday January 1, 2022. Shirley was an energetic, loving and fun person. Wife of the late Lindell Gilbert, Sr. Daughter of the late Lawerence Bullete and (Ethel & Donald) Atkinson. Loving companion of Ernest Dunn, Jr. Mother of Sonya Patterson-Gordon, Christopher, Shanell, Lindell, Jr., Versell, Latrell and the late Eddie Brown. Also survived by twenty two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one son in law Dwayne Gordon, six sisters and two brothers, Donald, Jr. and the late Ronald Atkinson and a host of other family members and friends. Everyone is invited to attend her funeral. A Celebration Service honoring the life of the late Shirley Brown Gilbert will be held in the Chapel of Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 1 pm. Visitation 12 Noon in the Chapel. A repass will be held at 607 Webster St. Kenner, LA 70062.
