Dorothy Pitts, a homemaker departed this life on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the age of 87. Wife of the late John Pitts, Jr. Daughter of the late Lena Prevost and Payton Carroll. Devoted mother of John, III (Pamela), Cassandra, Chrishawn and the late Dwayne Pitts. Grandmother of Henry (Krystal), Sade, James, IV, Sydney, Jordyn and Jaeilyn. Great Grandmother of Lelia, Hannah, Jewel, Ava and Inri. Sister of Cora, Mary, Elaine, Cynthia, Sylvia, Herman, James, the late Annie Mae and Melvin. Relatives and friends; Pastor, officers and members of New Israel Baptist Church are invited to attend the Funeral. A Celebration service honoring the life and legacy of the late Dorothy Pitts will be held at New Israel Baptist Church, 6322 St. Claude Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 10 AM, Pastor Keith Haywood, Officiating. Interment Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation 9 AM in the church.
