David Joseph Griffin, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at age 61. He was born in New Orleans, LA on January 6, 1961 to the late Johnny Griffin, Sr. and Vivian Griffin. Husband of Arelita Griffin for 36 years. To this union they were blessed with three beautiful daughters, ShaQuanta (Tyrone) Henry, Davangela (Byron) Curtis, Tashika (Benjamin) Ketchum; also two bonus daughters, Cheryl (Floyd) Henderson and Keryllnn Young. Also survived by seven grandchildren, Shaquanjzanae Brown, Tronjazae Brown, Paris Henry, Bryson Curtis, Odin Ketchum, Cheayana Young, Kairo Young and Kelsie Young; three Godchildren, a devoted friend, Michael Duchane; six siblings and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and close friends. A Celebration service honoring the life of the late Mr. David Joseph Griffin will be held at Christian Fellowship Family Worship Center, 5816 East Judge Perez Drive, Violet, LA 70092 on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11 AM. Interment Verrett Cemetery, 3737 Bayou Road, St. Bernard, LA70043. A repast will follow at Sterling Hall, 3700 Jean Lafitte Pkwy Chalmette, LA 70043 at 1:30 PM with refreshments and a second line band for entertainment.
