Mr. Lawrence Gibson departed this earthly life on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the residence of his caregivers, niece and nephew, Shirley and Kevin Armstrong. Husband of the late Hazel Gibson. Son of the late Horace Gibson and Evelina Williams. Brother of the late Clarence Randolph and Celina Williams Bright. Father of the late Cathy, Isaac and Alendryea. Grandfather of Derriyaka, DeShayka, Tiya and TaKourin. In addition to Shirley and Kevin, Mr. Gibson is also the uncle of Delores Brown, Sylvia Martin, Marguerite White, Brenda and Evelina Toney, Shelia Bright, Marlene Gibson, Lawrence Bright, the late Doris Gardner, Patricia Harvey, Ernest Bright, Augustine and Diane Toney. Also survived by four great grandchildren, a host of other loving relatives and friends. A Celebration service honoring the life and legacy of the late Mr. Lawrence Gibson will be held in the Chapel of Charbonnet Family Services, 4917 E. Judge Perez Drive, Violet LA 70092 on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 10 am, Minister Sherleen Cooper, Officiating. Visitation 9 am in the Chapel. Interment will be held at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 12:30 pm.
