Obituary for Kirk LaMothe Jr.

Kirk LaMothe, Jr. died on Friday, April 29, 2022 in Granite City, Illinois. He was 25 years old at the time of his passing. Arriving early at 27 weeks, Kirk LaMothe, Jr. weighed 1 lb. 13 oz. making his way into this world with strength and determination. "Lil Kirk", as he was affectionately called, attended Kipp Believe and graduated from Warren Easton in 2015. Kirk excelled academically in all subjects, however he did phenomenally well in all areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Kirk was also a musical genius in school playing and composing the trombone and guitar. Being the musical genius he was afforded him the opportunity to travel and do things his parents would only dream of. Kirk also played Lacrosse and was an Elite Gamer. His profound STEM background shined in his ability to take a video console or computer completely apart and reassemble them. This knowledge is how he started his very own business, LaMothe's Tech Repair at the age of 17. He loved being around family and friends and boy oh boy he never passed up a good meal. He had this smile that brightened up any room. Lil Kirk was loved and admired by every individual he crossed paths with. Kirk was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Clifford Jones, Sr; paternal grandmother, Norma Jean LaMothe; uncle, Guy LaMothe, Sr. and cousin, Byron Davis.
