Obituary for Steven Raymond Bernard

Mr. Steven Bernard, age 48, a resident of Ger ttown, LA departed this life on Thursday, May 19 , 2022. Steve was the voice of Gert Town. He was educated in the Orleans Parish Public School System and a graduate of Alcee Fortier Senior High School. Mr. Bernard was preceded in death by his mother, Alvertis Bernard; brother, Lawrence Bernard; two nephews, Renell Wooden, Derwin Bernard and niece, Tyrie Bernard. He leaves to cherish precious memories, three daughters, Shantrel Taylor, Shametria Hunter and Shakira Bernard; two stepdaughters, Bria Bradford and Imari Lee; one stepson, Bernard Bradford; six grandchildren, King, Sunshine, Bailee, Blaize and Blair Bradford; four sisters, Alvertis Bernard, Jacqueline Wiltz (Aaron), Chalantha Kiper (Michael) and Janet Pate; two brothers, Robert Pate and Joshua Clofer; Fiance, Danielle Trench, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, other family friends and Gert town Hounds and Shehounds. Steven was a Transit Operator for RTA. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the funeral. A Celebration service honoring the life and legacy of the late Mr. Steven Bernard will be held at the City of Love, 8601 Palmetto Street, New Orleans , LA 70118 on Saturday June 4, 2022 at 10 am, Pastor John T. White, Officiating. Interment Providence Park Cemetery. Visitation 9 am in the church.
