BARBARA TAYLOR OBITUARY
Mrs. Barbara Jean "Bobbie" Taylor was born to the late Frank Williams and Hazel Jamison on October 10, 1942 in Napoleonville, LA. She accepted Christ at Bright Morning Star Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. S. Dorsey, Jr., at the age of 11. Barbara served Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church for over 40 years, as an usher and was also with the Senior Missionary under the leadership of Bishop Paul S. and Elder Debra Morton. In addition to her parents, Barbara is also preceded in death by siblings, Cora Harris, Katie Williams, James Jamison, Doris and Ronald Paul Bailey; son, Robert Taylor, Jr. and grandson, Torian Carter. She leaves to cherish precious memories, children, Carmen (Huey Paul) Smith of Laplace, LA, Alesha McMorris of Forest Park, GA, Addie Taylor of Bay St. Louis, MS and Brian K. Taylor of Atlanta, GA; eleven grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren, one great- great grandchild and four sisters. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A Celebration service honoring the life and legacy of the late Mrs. Barbara Jean "Bobbie" Taylor will be held at Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church, 5600 Read Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70127 on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 11 am. Interment Providence Memorial Park. No Visitation. For the health and safety of all, everyone in attendance is asked to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
