IRVIN PARKER OBITUARY
Irvin Parker, Jr., lovingly known as "Junior/Uncle Juni", age 64, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at LSUMC of New Orleans surrounded by his children and loved ones. Irvin (Junior) was born to the union of Mr.Irvin "Big Irv" Parker, Sr. and the late Mrs. Gloria (Crump) Parker on December 12,1957. Irvin was a lifelong resident of the 7th Ward in New Orleans, LA. He is survived by his wife, Buffy Lynn Parker to mourn his loss and cherish his memory, eleven children, Chantel Parker, Chantel Nelson (Charles), Shandrell Nelson, Chanisha Parker-Moodley (Daelon) of Scottsdale,AZ, Chardoney Parker, Irvin (lil Irvin) Parker, Ihmad-jah Parker, Ivan Parker, Jahmyri Parker, Tracie Parker, Stacie Parker and step daughter, Chablis. Also survived by six grandsons and four granddaughters, who will forever miss his hugs, smile and laughter. In addition to his father, Mr. Parker is also survived by siblings, Wanda Parker-White, Cynthia Parker-Davis, Carmen Parker, Alfred (Danny) Parker, Glenn Parker (Aleisha) and Bobby Parker, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral. A celebration service honoring the life of the late Mr. Irvin Parker, Jr. will be held in the Chapel of Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 10 am. Interment Providence Memorial Park Cemetery, 8200 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70003. Visitation 9 am in the chapel. Due to Covid-19, face masks and social distancing are encouraged.
