Obituary for Regina Marie Taylor

REGINA TAYLOR OBITUARY
Ms. Regina Marie Taylor, a native of New Orleans, LA passed away on Sunday, August 7th, 2022 at the age of 61. Ms. Taylor was born on July 2nd, 1961 to Clara Rosemary Noah Taylor and the late Eddie Ray Taylor, Sr. She attended Medard H. Nelson Elementary School as a child and as an adolescent, she attended Phillips Junior High School where she received numerous academic accolades. She went on to graduate from John McDonogh Senior High School in 1979 with honors as Salutatorian. Regina received her nursing education through Louisiana Technical College, Sidney Collier Nursing School. She was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), who specialized in wound care and was also a charge nurse and a Dementia Care Specialist. She was employed for many years at Lafon Nursing Home and Carrington Place in New Orleans, LA and was also employed at Jo Ellen Smith Living Center before her untimely passing. Regina Marie Taylor is survived by her beloved children, Gina Lee Bernard (Jerry), Shannon D., Shaun A., Jade S., (Joe), Sharell M. and Jeremy Taylor (Michelle). In addition to her children, she also leaves to cherish fond memories her siblings, John P. (Theresa), Charles, Henry J., Angelica and Sharrel Taylor; Ron (Camilla), Robert J., Reynell (Twana), Diane, Dawn, Rochelle and Toni Santee; eleven grandchildren, over fifty nieces and nephews, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to her father, Regina is also preceded in death by her grandparents, Rev. Pythian and Anna Phillips Noah; siblings, Karen Ann, Eddie Ray Jr. (Deborah) and Ray Taylor; Dianne Hankston (Clyde); granddaughter, Serenity Stampling; nephew, Dejuan Jason and beloved friend, Patricia Ann Lewis. A graveside service honoring the life and legacy of the late Ms. Regina Marie Taylor will be held at Restlawn Park Cemetery, 3540 US-90, Avondale, LA 70094 at 12 noon on Friday, September 2, 2022, Rev.
