JESSIE ANTHONY OBITUARY
Mr. Jessie James Anthony, Jr., age 54, was called to eternal rest on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Ochsner Baptist Medical Center of New Orleans. Mr. Anthony was born on November 15, 1967 in New Orleans, LA to Mrs. Vera Buggage Anthony and the late Jessie James Anthony, Sr. Jessie was a graduate of Jesuit High School's, Class of 1986 and later attended the University of New Orleans. He served six years in the United States Air Force, was employed by Cox Communications for five years and TSA for over twenty years. He spent most of his free time tailgating for the New Orleans Saints games, eating out and spending time with family and friends. In addition to his mother, Jessie also leaves to cherish precious memories, a brother, Gerald Wayne Anthony, Sr. (Latricia); daughters, Jessica, Jasmine and Precious Anthony; seven grandchildren, Tiara, Desmond, Kenzo, KaMiyah, Kernell Jr., Jayla and Legacy; one niece, two nephews and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his father, Jessie is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Audrey Atkins Buggage, Matthew, Sr. and Sarah Anthony. A Celebration service honoring the life and legacy of the late Mr. Jessie James Anthony, Jr., will be held in the Chapel of Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 1 pm.
