GINA BLANDIN OBITUARY
Gina Maria Blandin was born on October 23, 1961 to the late Joyce and Lester Fauria. She entered into enternal rest on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at the age of 60. She loved to cook, shop and spend time with her large family. Gina was a graduate of Joseph S. Clark Senior High School and was employed by the State of Louisiana, Department of Family Services for over 20 years. She also worked at Antoines Restaurant. Gina kept the traditions her mother established by hosting every holiday for her family. She loved cooking, gathering with friends and was an excellent story teller. Her nick name was G-Money, she always wanted to make sure she was financially secure in life and in death. She enjoyed a multitude of friends and family. Gina leaves to cherish precious memories, John Egana and their children, John Blandin, Frank, Audrey, Joyce and Fallon Egana, Rebecca Blandin and her devoted life-long friend, Austin Murray; siblings, Rory, Sr., Lester, III, Nicki ( deceased) and Jefferey Blandin, Sr. and Stephanie Blandin Ratcliff; thirty eight grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Gina was also preceded in death by three children, Sean, Jason and Jonathan Egana. A Mass of Christian burial honoring the life and legacy of the late Gina Marie Blandin will be held at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, 3501 N. Miro Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 10 am. Interment Private. Visitation 9 am in the church. Due to Covid 19, face mask and social distancing encouraged.
