GERAL BOWMAN OBITUARY
Geral Bowman III departed this earthly life on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at home. Geral was born on January 20, 1990 in New Orleans, LA to Shawn Rochon and Gerald Bowman, Jr. He leaves to cherish precious memories his parents, Shawn Rochon-Calice and Sherman J. Calice Sr.; two children, Harlem and Gersey Bowman; siblings, Gerquel Bowman, Shermicia and Shermika Calice, Sherman Calice, Jr. and Tyree Thompson; maternal grandparents, Bernice Nealy, Eddie Smith (Vanessa); paternal grandparents, Juanita Bowman, Sherman Jr. (Zenobia) Calice. Geral was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Rosemary and John Leon, R.D. Addison, Annie Bell, Milton Smith, Sr., Olga and Sherman Calice Sr. Geral was baptized at the age of 10 at Beacon Light International Baptist Cathedral of New Orleans LA. Geral Bowman, III attended Dr. Martin Luther King Elementary School, where he was provided a solid educational foundation and was mentored by Dr. Doris Roche-Hicks. He also attended Marion Central Catholic Middle school of New Orleans, LA and Warren Easton High School, where he graduated with honors in 2008. Geral received a full scholarship to Xavier University. In 2007 he began working for ILA LOCAL 3000 as a longshoreman. He also created and was owner of Undainvestigaion Clothing line in 2020. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral. A Celebration service honoring the life and legacy of the late Mr. Geral Bowman, III will be held at Beacon Light International Baptist Cathedral, 1937 Mirabeau Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70122 on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 10 am, Bishop Darryl S. Brister, officiating. Interment Providence Memorial Park, 8200 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA. Visitation 9 am in the church. Repass will be held at The Zulu Hall, 730 N.
