CAROL ADAMS OBITUARY
Mrs. Carol Elizabeth Arnold Adams, 79, a lifelong resident of New Orleans, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Carol was born on November 5, 1942 to the late George Arnold and Louise "Bernice" (Arnold) Domonique. Carol was raised by her mother, Bernice and step-father, Ferdinand H. Domonique. She graduated from Joseph S. Clark Senior High School in 1961 and attended Southern University in New Orleans. Carol worked as a Purchasing Agent for the United States Department of Agriculture – National Finance Center where she retired in 2003. She became a skilled seamstress at a very young age, creating garments for carnival balls, weddings, family and friends. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Leonard; children, Pamela (Reginal) Jefferson, Iris (Brian) Platenberg and Leonard Adams, III; sister, Claudia Battee; grandchildren, Lakeisha Daigs, Brittany Walker, Erica Jefferson, Leonard Adams, IV, Jada Butler, Megan Jefferson, Jasmine Butler and Zachary Jefferson; great grandchildren, Malik Jefferson, Kennedi Walker, Rhyan Daigs, Legend Adams and Dreux Daigs. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Adams is also preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Sharon Adams and sister, Angela Gorum. A Mass of Christian burial honoring the life and legacy of the late Mrs. Carol E. Arnold Adams will be held at Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church, 9701 Hammond Street, New Orleans, LA 70127 on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 11 am. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery, 4000 Norman Mayer Avenue, New Orleans, LA. Visitation 9:45 am in the church. Due to Covid variants, face masks and social distancing encouraged.
