Demetrius Joseph Williams passed away on Monday, October 20, 2022. Husband of Joy Williams. Son of Cordella Oliver and the late Joseph Roland Williams, Jr. In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Williams also leaves to cherish precious memories, his children, Ebony (Dudley) Malveaux, Christy and Crystal Ruth and Ari Williams, Charles (Takka) Ruth and Zion Williams; Twenty grandchildren, Addison, Avery, Brevyn, Brooklyn, Chaney, Charles, Jr., Dakota, Demi, Devyn, Genesis, Harmonee, Hasaiah, Keegan, Kyleah, Leah, Madalynn, McKenzie, Roy, Jr., Ryan and Shaquana; mother-in-law, Betty Whittaker; father-in-law, Victor Rushing, Sr; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy (Reginald) Copelin, Stephanie (Edward) Dubose, Terry (Warren) Jones, Jimmy Alexander, Keith Jones and Gary (Sonya) Rushing, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends. In addition to his father, Mr. Williams is also preceded in death by his sister, Linda Green Jones and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Rushing and Victor Rushing, Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to join us for a Celebration service honoring the life and legacy of the late Mr. Demetrius Joseph Williams in the Chapel of Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 10 am.
