CASSANDRA DAVIS-BURTON OBITUARY
Cassandra L. Davis-Burton passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 6, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin Davis, Sr. and Zetella W. Jones (Maxie, Sr.); grandparents, Alex, Sr. and Bessie Wesco, James and Annie Davis; uncles, Leonard and Rev. Alex Wesco, Jr; aunts, Mary Ella Veal, Voncile W. Ward, Alma W. Jackson, Bernice W. Bonds-Riley, Gwendolyn Wesco and stepbrother, Maxie Jones Jr. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Keva Fountain, Kenisha Tait (Timothy); cherished grandchildren, Kylen Hill, Kyla and Keaton Tait; brother, Umar Kashiff (Khalilah); sisters, Yolanda Johnson, Lynne Davis-Johnson (Bruce); stepmother, Margaret Davis; stepbrothers and sister, Al Jones (Patti), Marie Bradley, Clyde Davis (Konnee); uncle, Minister Percy Jackson; aunts, Cyvelia Terrell, Mable McDonald; nephew, Tyrone Johnson, Jr.; former husband, Bernard Burton; stepson, Bernard T. Burton; Godson, Brian C. Trotter, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. A Celebration service honoring the life of Ms. Cassandra L. Davis-Burton will be held at St. John Divine Missionary Baptist Church, 1763 N. Derbigny Street, New Orleans, LA on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 11 am, Rev. Reynaldo King I, Officiating. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery and Mausoleum. Visitation 10 am in the church.
