GAIL GREEN OBITUARY
Mrs. Gail Lynn Diggs Green passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at St. Margaret's Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Green was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High Schools Class of "72." She was employed as a civil servant for the City of New Orleans Police Department in Communications. Gail is preceded in death by her daughter, Nicole A. Green; mother, Janet Diggs Francis; father, Sidney Diggs and grandmother, Bertha B. Verrett. Mrs. Green leaves to mourn her passing, husband, Tyrone Green; son, Nicholas (Vashina) Diggs and granddaughter, Nadia Green; siblings, Gwendolyn Diggs, Roslyn Diggs, Reachelle Francis, Emily Walker, June Carolyn Walker, Derek ( Alondra) Francis, Sidney Diggs, Kevin (Joan) Gilbert, Belita Rickmon, Doris (Nathaniel) Joseph, Kay (Ronald) Johnson and Rhea (Dexter) Joiner; step siblings, Hosea Francis and Sherry Green. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends; Staff and employees of the City of New Orleans Police Departments 8 th District, St. Margaret's and Ferncrest Manor Nursing Homes are invited to attend the funeral. A Celebration service honoring the life and legacy of the late Mrs. Gail Lynn Diggs Green will be held in the Chapel of Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 0n Monday, November 21, 2022 at 1 pm. Visitation 12 noon in the chapel. The family thanks everyone for their prayers and kind words of encouragement. Due to Covid variants, face masks and social distancing encouraged.
