ELLIOUS COLBERT OBITUARY
Ellious Clarence Colbert entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at home with his family in New Orleans, LA. Beloved husband of the late Johnell Mitchell Colbert. Beloved father of Angel Colbert Cherry, Ellious Colbert, Jr., the late Stephen Colbert, Danielle Colbert Jackson, Eric Colbert, Kim Seals, Walter Anderson, III, John R. Wright, III, Eric A. Wright and Quentin U. Wright. Son of the late Clarence and Irma Bradford Colbert. Brother of the late Herman Colbert and Barbara Meare. Mr. Colbert is also survived by twenty three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ellious was a member of First Pilgrims Baptist Church, a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, served in the United States Army, was a California Highway Patrol officer in San Jose, CA, was owner of the Gretna Junction Restaurant in Gretna, LA and retired from Hotard Transportation in New Orleans. A Funeral service honoring the life and legacy of the late Mr. Ellious Clarence Colbert was held at First Pilgrims Baptist Church, 1228 Arts Street, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 11 am, Dr. Eugene M.
