NELLIE MARTIN OBITUARY
Nellie Mae Bostic Martin entered a peaceful and eternal rest on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the age of 90. She leaves to cherish beloved memories, two daughters, Vivian Montrel and Wanda Elum (Reginald); two sons, Joseph R. Martin, III and Keith Martin (Denisha); daughters-in-law, Norma Moore and Jama Ridgley; Godchildren, Annette Green and Jennifer Kelly. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Mrs Martin is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Martin, Jr; sons, Kenneth and Philip Martin; son-in-law, Alvin Montrel, Jr; daughter-in-law, Nedra Varnum. Relatives and friends; Priest and Parishioners of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church are invited to attend the funeral. A Mass of Christian burial honoring the life and legacy of the late Mrs. Nellie Mae Bostic Martin will be held at St Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1923 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 10 am, Rev. Ajani Gibson, Celebrant. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation 9 am in the church. Due to COVID variants, face masks and social distancing strongly encouraged.
