JOSEPH HILL OBITUARY
Mr. Joseph "Shakey" Louis Hill, a lifelong resident of Violet, LA and a Veteran of the United States Army, departed this life on Monday, January 9th, 2023 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Elveria Reed Hill. Son of the late Sidney, Sr. and Myrtle Smith Hill. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hill also leaves to cherish precious memories, his children, Tracy (Peter) Robinson, Donna (John) Hooper, Tanya ( the late Oliver, Sr.) Williams, Ronald (Barbara), Jerome (Anitra), Keenan (Taneka), Gizelle (Gary), Myrtle "Lucy" Hill and Jarmin (Sandy) Reed; siblings, Sara (Charles) Pettus, Herlin (Lolita) Hill, the late Sidney Hill, Jr. (the living Irma Hill), Marguerite Hill and Herman Hill. Also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. A Celebration service honoring the life and legacy of the late Mr. Joseph "Shakey" Louis Hill will be held at Christian Fellowship Family Worship Center, 5816 E. Judge Perez Drive, Violet, LA 70092 on Saturday, January 21st, 2023 at 11 am, Bishop Henry Ballard, Host Pastor, Pastor Merlin Flores of the Greater Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Officiating. Interment Merrick Cemetery, 7405 E. St. Bernard Hwy, Violet LA 70092. Visitation 10 am in the church. A "Drive Through" viewing will be held at Charbonnet Family Services, 4917 E Judge Perez Drive, Violet LA 70092 on Friday January 20th, 2023 from 4 pm to 6 pm.
